For any Florida resident, knowing how to prepare for a natural disaster and being well-informed of what steps to take post-disaster are invaluable pieces of information. Although Florida has escaped being hit by a hurricane for nearly nine years now, the South Florida population has skyrocketed within the past couple of years, putting more people at risk. Many of these newcomers have never experienced a hurricane or tropical storm, an alarming fact that has caught the attention of many experts who are pushing to raise hurricane awareness. For this seminar, experts from different realms of the community association industry will discuss various topics that will help condo managers, board members and residents prepare their properties and themselves to survive a hurricane when it strikes – because it’s not a matter of if, but when.
